Israeli soldiers conducted a large military campaign in various districts of the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped dozens of Palestinians, mainly Hamas and Islamic Jihad members, legislators, political leaders and students.Sources within the Hamas movement told the Ma’an News Agency that the army broke into and searched dozens of homes in the northern West Bank district of Nablus, and kidnapped the following persons;
Dr. Mohammad Ghazal, Ahmad al-Haj Ali, Hosni al-Bourini, all members of the Legislative Council on the Hamas ticket, Firas Jarrar, Samir Abu Shu’eib, Nasser Abu Aisha, Anas Raddad, Talal Abu Asab, Abdullah Bani Odeh, Ahmad Nabhan, Ahmad al-Bayarwy, Samir Abu Shu’eib, Ahmad Malabsha, Hatheefa Salama, Ahmad Hamadna, Mohammad Sawalha, and Mohammad Daghlas.
In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, the soldiers kidnapped legislator Abdul-Rahman Zeidan, also invaded the home of legislator Fathi al-Qar’aawy, and thoroughly searched it before interrogating his sons, and ordering one of them, Hamza, to head to a nearby military base for interrogation.
Dozens of soldiers also invaded the central West Bank district of Tubas, and kidnapped a two Palestinians identified as Faze’ and Nader Awafta, while residents Abdullah Sbeita, Amir ad-Dahbour, and Nael Enaya in Azzoun town.
Soldiers also continued their massive invasions into the Hebron district, and kidnapped at least eight Palestinians, after breaking into their homes and searching them.
Meanwhile, sources within the Hamas movement in the West Bank stated the army kidnapped at least 70 Hamas leaders.
